Singapore day 2

Another hot steamy day in the tropics, today we decided to take the metro to harbourside and then the cable car over to Sentosa Island. The cable car proveded panoramic views of the city and harbour. Sentosa island was a bit of a disapointment, as just seems to be a disney style theme park. At lunchtime we found our way to Chinatown where we strolled through a busy market and found a street stall to have lunch. Ingredients were displayed for selection in a chiller cabinet, once we had made our choices of vegetables mushrooms pork and noodles, it was all cooked rapidly in a wok with added spices and chilles. The result was a fantasticly delicious meal all for 9 dollars about £4.50!

This afternoon there is another tropical storm with thunder, lightening and heavy heavy rain, so sheltering back at the hotel.
