Queenstown

We have now arrived in Queenstown. However before getting here we had a small drama after leaving Mount Cook which involved a flat tyre and an unscheduled team buliding exercise to put on the spare. Whilst waiting for the tyre to be repaired in Twizel we visited a Lord of the Rings site nearby. Will very happy as he also drove most of the way.

Aoraki Mount Cook

Today we have driven down to Mount Cook National Park. We have been blessed with fantastic clear weather again enabling stunning views of the mountains and surrounds. Will enjoyed driving and LIndsay and I enjoyed being chauffeured. We also walked up to the glacier head.

Christchurch Gondola

We took a trip up the Christchurch Gondola in an attempt to keep William awake. Not sure we suceeded.

Christchurch

We have now arrrived in Christchurch. This morning we picked up Wil from the airport. No photos yet as he looks a bit bleary eyed!

Kaikoura

Today we have travelled down the east coast to Kaikoura. Quite a bit colder down here but still very sunny and some spectacular scenery, including from our B&B.

Queen Charlotte Drive

Today we took a drive from Picton to Havelock along Queen Charlotte Drive. We also took a detour up Mahau Sound where we had a picnic lunch. We've been very lucky with the weather again a very sunny day.

Wither Hills Vinery

Today we have taken another bike tour through the Marlborough Vinery region. A 37Km round trip involving lunch and wine tasting at Wither Hills vinery. It seemed a lot longer to get back after lunch with a full stomach riding up hill and into the wind.
